After breakfast, we begin our day tour by taking a short ride to the river where the boat is available to take us to Mingun. Our route follows the Irrawaddy River all the way and there’ll be plenty of photo ops. In Mingun, we’ll visit the ruins of Pahtodawgyi and see the 90 tons Mingun Bell. After lunchtime, a boat takes us downstream to Mandalay.
Later in the afternoon, we bike to Amarapura, the ancient capital of the Konbaung Dynasty, and the U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest Teakwood Bridge (1208 meters long). To marvel at the incredible panorama of the bridge, let’s take a boat trip and sail around the serene lake of Taungthaman to capture the stunning view at sunset. After that, a support van will take us back to the hotel in Mandalay.
